La Comunidad Latina En Acción (LaCLA) Scholarship

The LaCLA Scholarship is a tuition only award given to students with financial need who demonstrate academic excellence and an interest in community service.

The LaCLA Scholarship was established in 1993 by a group of Latinx students at Northeastern University as a way to increase the retention of Latinx students at the university. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence of students and promotes community service on campus and in Greater Boston.

The scholarship is a tuition only award given annually to eight students. Awards are annually renewable for scholars who maintain a 3.0 GPA/QPA, submit FASFA annually, and satisfactorily complete the required 200 hours of community service, under the guidance of the Latinx Student Cultural Center and the LaCLA Chair and Committee.
